Faculty Bargaining Services (FBS) aims to support participating institutions in both bargaining and contract administration of academic staff. Five regional associations and 74 Canadian universities currently participate in the FBS program. The program of services remains collaborative and participatory, and continues to evolve based on the needs of its community. Over the years, the annual conference has evolved from a one-day town hall and update of member issues and projects, to a robust 3-day professional development activity which offers members high caliber programming as well as invaluable networking opportunities.
FBS invites members to attend the 2018 Annual Conference from November 1 to 2 in Montreal. The schedule of events will kick off on October 31 with a one-day summit on the current leadership challenges in higher education: academic freedom, privacy obligations and freedom of expression. Join us on the 31st for a welcome reception open to all summit and conference delegates.
