Dean, Clayton H. Riddell Faculty of Environment, Earth and Resources, University of Manitoba
Norman Halden is currently Dean of the Clayton H. Riddell Faculty of Environment, Earth, and Resources; hired as a geochemist he has been with the University of Manitoba for 35 years. He has served many University committees including, budget advisory and planning and priority committees. More broadly within the community he has served as president of the Mineralogical Association of Canada and chaired several NSERC Committees connected with major facilities reflecting his interest and expertise in various instrumental techniques of mineral analysis. More recently, he has served two tours of duty on the University’s bargaining team, and in the more recent past chaired the Academic Subcommittee of the University of Manitoba’s Operational Continuity Committee.
